I use this for my 2000 new beetle. I could not have replaced my throttle body without this device. You need to do a throttle body adaptation and this device was able to. Thee are a lot of function there but the included instructions are not very helpful in my opinion. Is there any way to do a throttle body adaptation with this free software as I tried to follow the instructions on ross tech but it said I need the full version. I cleared my fault codes but I still have... I have been getting the same 6 codes even though Ive been replacing the parts associated with the errors, which makes me wonder if they are in anyway related in terms of wiring or some other way. Im hesitant to replace the expensive throttle body if these other codes arent going away. You need to basically have the throttle floored at some point during the calibration and the throttle body will reset itself to be 100% open when the DBW throttle is fully depressed. OK, to make a long story short, I'm pretty sure that I'm seeing trouble with a throttle body that is out of adjustment.
